In Whomp's Basment Brauhaha, in the Extra Room, you can unlock more mini games in these ways:
Jigsaw Jitters is unlocked after playing Photo Finish.
Goomba Stomp is unlocked after playing Tree Stomp.
Beach Volley Folley is unlocked by playing all the Extra Room mini games.

Unlock Story Mini Games

After winning one of the normal boards, Toad/Shy Guy/Goomba/Koopa/Boo will challenge you to a Story Mini Game. The story mini games are now unlocked.

The Final Battle - Play this when you win Bowser's party board.

Panels of Doom and Bowser Wrestling - On Bowser's board pass him when Mega and he will challenge you to one of these mini-games.

Thwomp's Unlockable Mini Games

In Thwomp's backroom ball in the Extra Room you can unlock 2 minigames. Challenge Booksquirm is unlocked once you play Booksquirm and Panic Panel is unlocked once you play Panels of Doom.

Complete all five of the normal boards in Story mode with any character and you can play on Bowser's board.

Low Pitch Taunt

Hold C-Stick down whilst pressing L.

High Pitch Taunt

Hold C-Stick up whilst pressing L.

Quiet Taunt

To lower the volume of your taunt hold C-Stick to the left or right whilst pressing L.

Taunt

Press L during game play to hear your character's taunt. You can only do this while on game board, but not in mini-games. Press L + C-stick Up for a faster version. Press L + C-stick Down for a slower version. Press L + C-stick Left or C-stick Right to vary its volume.

Bowser's Gnarly Party Board:

Win all five boards in story mode and collect all presents for one character. Bowser will challenge you on his board. Beat him and his mini-game. You can now choose Bowser's Gnarly Party in Party Mode by highlighting Koopa and pressing Right.
