Choosing The Best Car

If you are a beginner and do not know which car will handle easily, try the Subarus. The Daihetisu company is also good. The Cappuccino is recommended for beginners. It handles like a beauty, and while you win races you can unlock engines, turbines, and other items to make it go faster.

Car Information

When you are choosing a car, pick any company. When the picture of a car appears, look at the triangle-like object. The triangle determines the amount of acceleration, maximum speed, and handling. If one of the points on the triangle stretch long towards turning, it indicates that the car turns well. If that point is fat, it indicates that the car turns very easily and pretty well. If both, then that car is very easy to turn. The same thing is indicated the others (maximum speed and acceleration). If the triangle does not go beyond the circle that you see, then that car is not as useful or good. The Subaru Impreza is recommended.

Easy Turbo

When going off a huge jump do a 360 by pushing the direction stick right or left and do two tricks while doing the 360. The better the tricks the better the boost. If you can get more than two tricks in at that time thought it can help alot more and almost fill your boost totally in one trick.

To get Viper and Dimension

Go to ATV academy (at top). Beat control training and trick training. Go to free-style mode,then it should show the ATVs

Super flips:

Go to the freestyle level. Get your boost all the way up. Start going around the course to get speed. If you choose to use the loop as your take off, you need to boost all the way around it. Another good ramp to use is the one that is sort of under an elevated ramp; you will not need boost. To do many flips, choose your ramp and get speed. When you are about 20 feet away from the take off, hold Analog-stick Down. Keep it held and when you get to the peak of the take off, you will do many flips.

Use the following trick to do three or more flips on the ground. First, do a wheelie then keep it held. Hold Preload (R), and when it is full, release it. While holding Analog-stick Back, you will do three or more flips.

Bee Courageous

You've done it before -- you've shaken a couple of trees to find some cash, and out comes a whole swarm of bees and does a "remodeling" job on your face... Painful. But did you know that you can actually catch the bees and make some money? It's a bit tricky as the bees move fast, but after you've shaken a tree and a bee's hive has fallen out, immediately switch to the butterfly net and turn towards the hive. Time it right and hit the button and you will catch a single bee, worth 4,500 bucks. Not bad, huh? There are three swarms of bees hidden on the map every day, so you can make some big bucks if you go bee hunting.

Reset Follies

Don't ever hit the reset switch when playing this game. If you do, the next time you play you will be chastized by Mr. Reset, an angry mole. He will lecture you on how there is no reset button in real life -- so you shouldn't use it in this game either. Mr. Reset's rant takes quite a while to get through, but that's nothing compared to what happens when you hit reset again... His complaints will get longer and longer and he will even force you to apologize (which requires you to manually enter your apology via the letter entry wheels). Not fun. So stay away from the reset switch unless you understand Japanese and want to read some funny stuff.

Grow a Money Tree

Did you know that besides growing fruit trees, you can also grow money trees? Yep, no joke. However, you can't just grow them anywhere. Find a sparkly glowing spot on the ground (the type that hints at a hidden treasure) and use the shovel to unearth the money bag. Instead of just pocketing the money and closing the hole, stand in front of it, go into your inventory and select the money bag. Now choose the "plant item in ground" option that you also use to sow seeds or fruit and put the bag back into the sparkly spot in the ground. A seedling will sprout, which will grow into a money-bearing tree. Nice, huh? Note that planting a money bag just anywhere will not produce a money tree. It has to be planted in the sparkly special spot.

Fuusui Mysteries

Are you familiar with the ancient art of Fuusui (Feng-Shui)? Who would have guessed that it even applies to Nintendo's Animal Forest +? It's all about how you arrange your furniture in your house.

Orange colored furniture in the North:
Yellow furniture in the West
Red furniture in the East
Green furniture in the South
What does this do? For example, the yellow furniture increases the amount of money you receive. The other colors have similar benefits, so be sure to follow this basic rule when constructing your house.

Get Rich Quick with your GBA

If you've got a GBA and the GameCube Link Cable, you can access an island to the south of Animal Forest + that lets you make money much more quickly. Collect as many pieces of fruit as you can carry, hook up your GBA, turn it on, and then go to the pier at the beach (all the way in the south). A Kappa will be waiting here in his boat (he only shows up if your GBA is switched on) and take you to the island. Once you're on the island, drop all the fruit you have collected and go back to the boat. Tell the Kappa that you want to leave and that you want to transfer the island to your GBA. Your GBA will turn on and you will have see your island, complete with all the fruit you have dropped. Move your hand to the door of your island animal's house and knock. Your animal will come out. Now grab a piece of fruit and put it right in front of your animal. It will eat the fruit and turn happy. After a few pieces of fruit your animal will drop a money bag of random size for each fruit you feed to your little virtual pet. Repeat this process until all pieces of fruit are gone (you can also direct your pet to shake trees to get more fruit), then put your GBA to sleep. Do NOT switch it off.

Go back to the GameCube game. Once back in your town, leave the screen with the boat and come back. Talk to the Kappa again and the GCN game will be updated with the new data from the GBA island. Travel back to the island and collect all the money bags. Some bags contain as much as 30,000 coins! You should be able to pay off your house in no time now.

See the shiny spots on the ground where you dig up your 1000 bells? Do not fill in the holes yet. Instead, you need to purchase another shovel and bury the shovel in the ground where you got the money. This will sprout a tree that will grow a golden shovel.

Golden Axe

Frequently visit the wishing fountain. You must fix all tasks it asks of you ranging from cleaning up the garbage to making areas more green. Get a consistently good ranking on your town from the wishing well for 15 days and you will be rewarded with the golden axe.

Golden Fishing Rod

Catch all 40 species of fish to get rewarded with the golden rod. You will also get a cool emblem on top of your house.

Golden Net

Catch all 40 species of bugs to recieve a golden net and a cool emblem on top of your house.

Be color coded

Place orange colored furniture in the North, yellow in the West, red in the East, and green in the South. This will give you certain bonuses. For example, the yellow furniture increases the amount of money you receive. The other colors have similar benefits, so be sure to follow this basic rule when constructing your house.

Fossil Fuel

After you've dug up a fossil, sent it to the museum and received it back, you can take the fossils to Tom Nook and sell them for very high prices.

Bees into money

It's tricky and you have to time it right, but when you knock a beehive out of a tree get your net out and catch the bees. This is the most profitable out of all the insects in the game, worth 4500.

Money trees

Find a spot in the ground that's glowing and dig it up. You'll get 1000 bells but instead of keeping it, bury again in the same hole and a money tree will grow.

Speed it up

During any given day you can run out of things to do or buy. So here's a solution: Save your current game, then turn the GC off. Open the lid and turn the GC on so the main GC menu comes up. Go into the calendar and change the date and/or time to whatever you want. Then close the lid and start the game. It will now be that time/day in the game and you have new stuff to buy and things to do. This works great with Halloween and "Toy Day" (Christmas). You can then switch back to the regular day and time without fault.

Duplicating items and money

This trick requires two Game Boy Advances and a link cable. Connect Game Boy Advance #1 to the Gamecube using your link cable and turn it on. Go to your island (located on the dock at the edge of the ocean). When you finally get to the island, drop off the item or money that you wish to duplicate. Leave the island. When Kapp'n asks if you want to save your island to your Game Boy Advance, select "Yes". After it is done downloading to your Game Boy Advance, you can put it in sleep mode, disconnect it, and set it aside. When you get back to your town, attach Game Boy Advance #2 and turn it on. Leave that screen then immediately return to it. Talk to Kapp'n to go back to your island. After you start leaving you can turn Game Boy Advance #2 off. When you get to your island, pick up the item that you left there then leave the island again. This time when Kapp'n asks you to save your island to your Game Boy Advance, answer "No". When you get back to your town, disconnect Game Boy Advance #2 and connect Game Boy Advance #1 (make sure it is not in sleep mode). Leave the screen and return. Talk to Kapp'n once more. Your island should upload from your Game Boy Advance. When you get to your island, your item will be there again and you will already have it in your pockets. Pick up your item from the ground. You now have two of them. This will also work with multiple items.

Catch A Living Fossil Fish

To catch the living fossil you must fish in the sea when its raining. You will know when its there because its the largest fish and is worth 15,000 bell to Tom Nook.

How To Get Extra Money

First grab some fruit then hop on the train. Once you get to the other village sell the fruit for 400 bells more. Then grab some more fruit in that town. Then go back to the first town and sell all the fruit. You will get a lot more money this way!

How To Transport Items

To transport items pick them up and travel to a different town. Once there you must either drop the item on the ground or use the shovel to bury it in the ground. Then go back home and save. Come back on the other Memory Card and get the item put it in your house. This is great for moving your belongings to a different town.

Then before you start the game again select Before I Go and select Other Things. Then select Set Clock change it to the next day and start the game. When the game has stared go to Tom Nooks ne shop and sell something (ex: fruit) then Save and Quit and chage the clock to the real day and time. Find a turky

At the harvest festival, you will find a turky somewhere hiding behind stuff.

Catch a Shark

To catch a Shark do the following. When it is raining in November go to were the ocean meets the river from 6pm onwards keep running out of the acre and back in, scaring away all the little fish, until you see a huge shadow (about the size of the Coelacanth's). Cast out your line try to catch it. If you dont catch keep on trying. It is worth 20,000 bells if sold at Tom Nooks.

Money trees

Sometimes in your town you will see some sort of yellow come out of the ground. Use your shovel and dig it up. you will get 1,000 bells! So then, bury money in and a few days later it will grow into a money tree!
Note: This trick is very hard to do because it mostly dies out.

Find a ghost

You must do this at 2:00 am in June (or some month around it). Then, keep checking around all the acres(he's invisible so check all around) and you will find him! You need to catch all 5 spirits with your net for him to: Pull weeds, give you something, and something else.
Note:Spirits can be found all over the town so keep checking!

Money trees:step #2

When you plant a money tree, don't set the clock. If you do, it won't grow. So wait a few days without setting the clock.

Mr. Resetti and Don

If you start a game after resetting the GameCube during play, Mr. Resetti will appear to complain. Repeatedly reset the GameCube to make him more and more angry. Eventually, Mr. Resetti's brother Don will appear to take the place of Mr. Resetti.

This is what happens corresponding with the number of times you reset:

1: The first time, he will go "easy" on you and warn you not to reset again.
2: He'll come back and is slightly angry, no harm done.
3-6: He'll be ticked off, watch out, you may get lucky and he'll do this for the max 3 times in the stage.
7: Don his brother takes his place. He is nice but don't let him fool you, Mr. Resetti will come back if you reset again.
8-60. Ok, here?s when it gets funny, he'll sometimes ask you to write a note, and sometimes he'll make the screen go blank for a few seconds.
Your last offence, number 61: He makes sure that no one resets again! He makes almost everyone who lives in your town move up. Its rather funny, and they can't move back for about a week. When they do come back they don't want be near you. You are shunned for a about a month.

Easy money:

When bees appear from trees, take out your butterfly net and face the beehive. If you can catch a bee, you can sell it for $4500.

Place orange furniture to the north, green furniture to the south, yellow furniture to the west, and red furniture to the east part of your house.

Note: This trick requires a Game Boy Advance and a link cable. Play the game with the Game Boy Advance attached. Collect as much fruit as possible and travel all the way to the south. Go the pier at the beach. A Kappa will be there and will to bring you to a new island to the south. Get to the new island and drop all of your fruit. Return to the Kappa and leave. Transfer the island to the Game Boy Advance. On the Game Boy Advance, knock on the door to the house of the island animal. After it appears, move a piece of fruit in front of the animal It will eat it and become happy. Keep repeating this until the animal drops money bags. Feed all your fruit to the animal, then put your Game Boy Advance on standby. Resume the game on the GameCube. Go back to town, then return and talk to the Kappa again. Your game will now be updated with the Game Boy Advance data. Travel back to the island and collect the money bags.

Golden Fishing Pole

You can earn a Golden Fishing Pole by catching at least one of each fish.

Golden Shovel

To get the Golden Shovel find a "glowing spot" and bury a normal shovel in the hole you dig. A golden sapling will appear. After it has matured you will have a Golden Shovel. When using this shovel you become more likely to dig up better items and larger sums of money from the "glowing spots".

Magic Rock

Every day, one rock in your village will turn into a treasure rock. Walk up to a rock and hit it with your shovel. If it turns red, quickly hit it again -- up to seven times if you're fast enough. Each time, a money bag will come flying out. The first few bags will be 100 Bell bags, but soon you'll hear the Mario extra life chime -- which means these bags contain 1,000 Bell. After the rock changes color again, it goes back to being a regular rock.

Money Tree

Find a glowing spot, and bury the money bag found from it in that hole. A sapling will appear there now, and within a few days, you'll have a tree you'll be able to shake money out of (money tree).

Bee Catcher

You've done it before -- you've shaken a couple of trees to find some cash, and out comes a whole swarm of bees and does a "remodeling" job on your face... Painful. But did you know that you can actually catch the bees and make some money? It's a bit tricky as the bees move fast, but after you've shaken a tree and a bee's hive has fallen out, immediately switch to the butterfly net and turn towards the hive. Time it right and hit the button and you will catch a single bee, worth 4,500 bucks. Not bad, huh? There are three swarms of bees hidden on the map every day, so you can make some big bucks if you go bee hunting.

Reset Follies

Don't ever hit the reset switch when playing this game. If you do, the next time you play you will be chastized by Mr. Resetti, an angry mole. He will lecture you on how there is no reset button in real life -- so you shouldn't use it in this game either. Mr. Reset's rant takes quite a while to get through, but that's nothing compared to what happens when you hit reset again... His complaints will get longer and longer and he will even force you to apologize (which requires you to manually enter your apology via the on-screen keyboard).

Win NES Games

Animal Crossing features an even bigger variety of NES games than its N64 counterpart. You have to be lucky to get your hands on them though. There are several ways to get new games:

* Be the first. The first player to start a character on the included Animal Crossing Memory Card will receive a letter from Nintendo after all initial chores are done. The letter includes a grab bag with three items, two of which are NES games. To move a present attached to a letter to your inventory, align your cursor on top of the letter, then press L to grab it. Drag it to the inventory, then click on it with A and select "Open Present". To open the grab bag that's inside, simply select it with A when you're OUTSIDE a building. Do not try to open bags inside your house. It won't work.

* Enter the monthly lottery at the Tanuki Store on the last day of the month. You get a lottery ticket for every major purchase you make at the store (stationary and plants don't count). Every five tickets let you play in the lottery once, so be sure to collect a bunch of them. Note that lottery tickets don't carry over to the next month. They're only good for the current month. Prizes in the lottery vary from month to month, so don't give up if you don't find any NES games the first time you enter the lottery.

* Check your mailbox on Christmas Eve. Every player gets an NES game as a Christmas present.

* Get a game for your birthday. Don't only ask animals if you can run chores for them – use the second "conversation" option as well. At one point, one of your animals will ask you for your birthday and blood type. This animal will drop by your house on your birthday and personally deliver a new NES game.

* Have your Animal Island villager dig. Leave him your shovel, then bribe him with fruit later if he finds a game.

* There are other ways to get your hands on emulated classics, so keep your eyes and ears open.

3,500 Bells:

If you hit a rock with your shovel, sometimes it will turn red knocking money out. Keep hitting it until

you don't get any more money. You should get about 3,500+ bells from a single rock. Note: If you dig

holes around you, the kickback won't be so harsh and you will be able to get more bells.

Golden Tree:

Get a golden tree! First get two shovels. Find a gold piece of earth. Then plant one shovel in the gold spot. A gold sapling will sprout! NOTE: Don't plant it too close to a tree, rock or house or it won't grow

Easy Points

Start a two player game and do not have a second player play the game. Throw a perfect game by striking out every batter. Save the game in the bottom of the 9th with two stikes and two outs. Finish the game, collect the points, and save options. Reload the saved game and repeat this as many times as needed to get an unlimited amount of points.

Free balls

If you are down in the count or need a quick ball, pretend to lay down a bunt. Pull back while the pitcher is in his motion. This should result in a ball being thrown. Note: This only works up to two times in an at bat.

Restore pitcher's energy

Wait until your pitcher has low energy then pause the game. If your pitcher is still on the mound, go to "Save Game and Quit", then save the game. Restart the system, and when you go to the main menu, load the game. When you finish loading, it should automatically take you back to the game, and it should show your pitcher on the mound with the full green energy bar.

Change jerseys in franchise mode

Before playing in a franchise mode game, go to quick play, and on the team's options highlight "Change Uniform". Go back, exit quick play, load the franchise, and when you get to the play game screen on options, your pointer will be on the blacked out uniform part. Press A and you can change uniforms. Once you change lineups or pitchers, this option is no longer available; it only works for that one game.

Homerun celebration

Press R when you are running the bases after hitting a homerun. Your player will blow kisses to the crowd. If you continue pressing R, your player will jump on home plate. Change to the team that you are facing and make them play poorly, allowing your original team to score a lot of runs. In the last inning, switch back to your team and claim your team's cheaply made points.

Throw hard 4 seam fastball correctly

If you have a pitcher or created player that throws a hard 4 seam fastball, always place the pitching cursor below where you want the pitch to go. The pitch will automatically rise after the pitcher releases it. However, with other pitches (curveball, slider, changeup, etc.) the ball will end up where you put the pitching cursor.

Slide step

Use this trick to do a slide step. When your pitcher is in the stretch, select a pitch, and before you press Pitch, hold the Left Analog-stick.

Pick off from the catcher

When the ball is released, hold L and the base that you would like to throw the ball to. The catcher will then snap up and throw the ball to the selected base. Note: This only works when you are pitching.

View player's energy in franchise mode

When at the main menu in franchise mode, go to "GM Office", then "Roster Management", then "Disabled List". Look through your players to see which ones are tired (except pitchers). If a starting player is tired, you should bench and rest him for one game.

Better players

Select the "Extras" option at the main menu, then choose "Player Management". On that screen is a category called "Player Editor". It allows you to improve players. In season mode, go to "GM", then choose "Player Management", then "Player Editor". Note: Making a player all A+ may result in the game freezing in later innings.

Demote player without other teams claiming him off waivers

Go to the player editor and make all his stats to D- so that no teams would want to claim him off waivers. When you want to promote a player back to the Major Leagues, change his ratings back to his default settings.

Duplicate players

Start a franchise or continue an existing one. Make sure the "GM Control" option is set to all teams. Go to the GM Office, then to "Trading Block". Select any player not from your team and put them on the trading block. Then, select "Get Offers" and make sure the other player involved is also not from your team. When you select the other player, the screen will change to the regular trading screen. The person on the trading block will be in your team's section. Go to "Submit Trade". When the message stating that the trade was accepted appears, you should have the player that was not on the block. The player on the block should be on his current team and the other team involved in the trade.

Easy win

Start a game with and set the skill level on anything except "Manage Only". Pause gameplay go to "Controller Select". Switch the controller to the team that you want to lose. Then, go into "Team Management" at the pause screen. Change the pitcher and the fielders to the wrong positions. You can also put pitchers in as pinch hitters. Then, return to "Controller Select" and change back to your original team. The CPU may switch the players around, but you can put the wrong ones in again. You will not get any card points if you play the entire game with the losing team. Note: there is a slight chance of your game freezing if player positions are swapped too often.
